About Hunter Hobson Scholarship

Professional Accolades

Hunter Hobson has an extensive background in executive management and is the President and CEO of Industrial Minerals Group/INMET Mining, LLC in Knoxville, Tennessee. Under his leadership, the companies have seen exceptional growth in revenue, business development, and operational productivity, helping the company become a high-growth producer with a worldwide presence.

Hobson previously held the role of Vice President of Business Development at Smoky Mountain Coal Company, where he consistently surpassed goals and managed business development strategies that substantially improved gross revenue and profit margins. He has also worked for McKesson Medical-Surgical as the Territory Manager of medical device sales.

Giving Back

The Hunter Hobson Scholarship

In his continued efforts to give back to the community, Hunter Hobson created a scholarship for incoming and currently enrolled college students. The scholarship awards $1,000 to a student who completes the online submission of a 500-word essay on the following topic:

“Who has been a role model to you, and why?”

Scholarship Award Amount

$1,000 will be awarded to one recipient — direct support toward tuition, fees, books, or any education-related cost.

You must be confirmed and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program by the scholarship deadline.
